Mr. Isaac Lam Siu Hin graduated from Computer Engineering at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. After graduation, he founded Mindvivid Limited to pursue his dream and take the social responsibility in addition to developing his business ambition. Now Isaac is the Chief Executive Officer of Mindvivid, his main duty is to research and develop the dementia related products.

Mindvivid aims to create a leading platform on dementia diagnosis, prevention and data management focusing on mid-aged people and the elderly. In the process of research and development, Mindvivid is now collaborating with researches of HKUST and CUHK. In 2017, an innovative brain training application- “Brainastic” was launched by Mindvivid and aims to provide a relaxing, entertaining, scientific oriented, Chinese oriented dementia prevention tool to the Hong Kong society.

Mr. Otto Lau is now the General Secretary for Social Services of Christian & Missionary Alliance Church Union Hong Kong Ltd. The agency develops a wide range of innovative projects to support the elderly in the community. Otto has been involved in the promotion of age friendly campaign through active participation in the steering committee of Age Friendly Hong Kong and motivate agency staff to practice age friendly measures in service delivery, including the design of service centres, involvement of elderly members, community participation, caring of elderly and families.

Mr. Daniel Lau is currently the Director (Development and Marketing) of the Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS). Graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Mr. Lau is a Chartered Surveyor by profession and has extensive experience in areas of planning, land and marketing.

Before joining HKHS, Mr. Lau has worked with the Lands Department of Hong Kong SAR Government. In his current capacity, Mr. Lau focuses on exploring and formulating new housing schemes, project planning, land acquisition and strategic marketing.

Mr. Lau was also involved in the development of various elderly housing initiatives launched by HKHS, including the Aging-in-Place scheme for the tenants of the HKHS’s rental estates, the Senior Citizen Residences (SEN) Scheme targeting at the middle-income elderly, and the quality elderly housing project The Tanner Hill.

Dr. C.K. Law (J.P., S.B.S., G.B.S.), Associate Professor, Department of Social Work and Social Administration, serves in HKU since 1981. He has broad research interests including various areas of social policies (welfare, health, labour, housing and education). He is regularly engaged by many government bureaux and departments as consultant and advisor. He was co-founder of the Senior Citizen Home Safety Association and he serves as board member in a number of NGOs, including Caritas HK, HK Christian Service, Boys' and Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong. He was a Legislative Council member (1995-97, 1998-2004). He is currently the Chairman of the Community Care Fund Task Force, member of the Commission on Poverty, Statistics Advisory Board and Commission on Strategic Development of the HKSAR government.

Mrs Fanny Law is a HKSAR Deputy to the 12th National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China, a Member of the HKSAR Executive Council, the Chairperson of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation and an independent non-executive director of a number of listed companies. She graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a degree in Science and received her Master degree in Public Administration from Harvard University. She had been a career civil servant for 30 years with experience in a wide range of public services.

Mr. Berry Leung is the founder of Teksbotics (Hong Kong) Ltd. He has in-depth understanding of robotics and artificial intelligence market in the Greater China area and extensive connection in Europe and the USA. In recent years, he has been working closely with top tier robotics and artificial intelligence research institutes and companies around the world including BigML, IIT/MIT, Softbank Robotics, Shadow Hand, Revolve Robotics and Italian Technology Institutes.

Professor Andrew Leung taught in Hong Kong University, Manchester University and City University and is honorary/guest professor of 17 universities.  He is the President of Asian Institute of Intelligent Buildings, President of Asia-Pacific Intelligent Green Building Alliance, Chairman of the China Green Building (HK) Council, Council Member of Hong Kong Institution of Certified Auditors, HK Board member of The RICS, Fellow of RICS, CIOB, HKIE, and RAeS and a member of HK BEAM Faculty. He is an education supervisor of the Hong Kong Alzheimer Disease Association.

He is the convener of the construction group and a member of IT group of a 1400-bed nursing home in Lam Tei and the project manager of a 185-flat residential home in Happy Valley that are being built.

He is a Director of Social Enterprise Ltd and Smart Integration Company in Science Park major in Internet of Things for healthcare and environment.

With more than 20 years’ experience in elderly service, Mr. Leung has organized Senior Information Technology activities to encourage elderly people to participate in promoting digital inclusion since 1998.

The recent "Free Hong Kong Fonts" project is well received by the education sector and parents in Hong Kong. It received the Best Lifestyle (Learning & Living) Bronze Award and Special Mention (Silver Power) from the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2017. The Stroke5 Chinese input method is another open source project. The stroke patients can also use this technology to communicate with others.

Mr. Li Shih-Hung, from Taiwan, has a Master Degree of Social Work from the Department of Medical Sociology and Social Work of Kaohsiung Medical University. He has been engaged in social work for 21 years and is now the CEO of Sisters of Our Lady of China Catholic Charity Social Welfare Foundation. He also teaches social work and related disciplines at the university. With over 15 years of long-term care experience, he is currently a consultant to many Taiwanese government departments for long-term care development programs and innovative services.

Miss Lillian Li, Founder of Lightbulb, works on different projects with social meaning, now co-operate with different stakeholders to develop the “Friendly Restaurant” app, which not just offer friendly restaurant options but also help to build a friendly city and raise awareness on people with different needs. Miss Li is also the Co-Founder of two charity － SEN Rights and Silence.

Ms. Li Fai, Grace was a doctor at the Eighth People's Hospital of Guangzhou City, Infectious Disease and she has broad experience in medical and elderly home experience. Ms Li is now the Chairperson of The Elderly Services Association of Hong Kong. She also sits on the Industry Training Advisory Committee - Elderly Services (2012-2018) and is one of the advisors of the 2017 CLP "SME Consultation Association. She runs six private residential care homes and is the chief executive officer of a contract home for the elderly.

Mr. Frank Ma is the Business Development Director for Qorvo with responsibilities on business development for China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia, etc. Frank has been in Consumer electronic market for 24 years used to be working in financial pager, mobile phone, tablet and now he is focusing in emerging smart home industry with carriers and eCommerce and ZigBee remote control for STB.

Professor David Man’s specialties are in memory research and innovative cognitive rehabilitation, tele-rehabilitation, virtual reality systems and computer-assisted platforms for persons with acquired brain injury, mild cognitive impairment, schizophrenia and substance abusers.

He has been the grant holders of many competitive grants including several General Research Grant (Research Grant Council), Health and Health Services Research Grant and IGARD grant (Product Development) and overseas collaborative project grant.

He has published widely in journals in SCI and SCCI and in the area of neuro-rehabilitation, geriatrics, rehabilitation psychology, occupational therapy and quality of life. Within the of The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, PolyU, he is now the coordinator of the Neuroscience and Neurological Rehabilitation team, a key person to Cognitive Rehabilitation Laboratory studying prospective memory, executive function and decision-making.

Dr Mok Chun Keung Francis is a senior medical consultant specialized in Geriatric Medicine in Hong Kong. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Hong Kong in 1985. He later obtained his Master degree in Health Administration from the University of New South Wales, Australia. He is a fellow of the HK College of Physicians and HK Academy of Medicine. He was also granted fellowship of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of London, Glasgow and Edinburg. He is currently the Chief of Service, Department of Medicine & Geriatrics of Tuen Mun Hospital and also Cluster Coordinator (Medicine & Geriatrics) of the New Territories West Cluster (NTWC) of HK Hospital Authority. He is also the chairman of the Geriatrics Subcommittee of the HK Hospital Authority, overseeing Geriatric service provision to the public in Hong Kong. His main interest is in clinical Geriatrics and health care planning for older people.

Goldie Nejat is the Canada Research Chair in Robots for Society and the Director of the Institute for Robotics and Mechatronics (IRM) at the University of Toronto. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering and Founder and Director of the Autonomous Systems and Biomechatronics Laboratory (asblab.mie.utoronto.ca).  

Prof. Nejat’s research is leading the development of intelligent assistive robots to meet the challenges posed by an aging population. Her interactive robots are being designed to provide cognitive and social interventions, help with activities of daily living, and lead group recreational activities to improve the quality of life of older adults. Her team collaborates with healthcare experts and healthcare facilities in order to develop these unique social robots so that they can be effectively integrated into everyday life.
 
Prof. Nejat has over 140 international publications and has been invited to speak at numerous events and institutions around the world. Her team's work has also been showcased in approximately 70 media stories. In 2013, she received the Engineers Canada Young Engineer Achievement Award and in 2012, the Professional Engineers of Ontario Young Engineer Medal. Both awards are for her exceptional achievements in robotics.

Mr. Benson Ng has devoted to serve the elderly for more than 20 years. He focuses particularly on the development of Community Care and Community Support Services for the elderly, and promoting elderly social participation in Hong Kong. He is one of the pioneers to advocate Age-Friendly Hong Kong movement since 2009. He used to be the convenor of the Task Force on Capacity Building and Good Practice Sharing, Age-Friendly Hong Kong Steering Committee of the Hong Kong Council of Social Services. Now, he is the Secretary of the Age-Friendly Kwai Tsing Steering Community of the Kwai Tsing District Council. Mr. Ng emphasizes “Elderly Participation and Cross-sectoral Collaboration” in promoting Age-Friendly City and Community movement.

Retired 8 years since 2009, with a background in mechanical engineering, Mr Ng Hing Bong has had many years of working experience in quality management in procurement/quality control/assurance environments within the manufacturing sector major.   His last job before retirement was an ISO9001 Quality Management System lead auditor of a Holland based company in Hong Kong.

His current major interest is video filming and editing since 2011 at cybersenior.org.hk

Mr. Mikio Okumura has been an Executive Officer at Sompo Holdngs, Inc., one of the largest insurance companies in Japan, since April 2015, and its Nursing Care & Healthcare Business Owner since April 2016. SOMPO entered into the nursing care business in 2015 by assigning Mr. Okumura to the President and CEO of Sompo Care Inc., a new subsidiary for developing a strategy and managing the administration of the Group’s nursing care businesses.

Currently, SOMPO Care Group is offering more than 25,700 units of residences for the elders, leading the nursing care industry in Japan.

He served as the General Manager of Corporate Planning Department at Sompo Holdings from April 2015 to April 2016, after he served as CEO of Yasuda Seguros S.A. in Brazil, where he accumulated his experience from 2009 to 2015.

Mr. Peter Poon is currently the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation; the Adjunct Associate Professor of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Rehabilitation Sciences Department; the Honorary Advisor of the Hong Kong Arthritis and Rheumatism Foundation and the Honorary Consultant of the Macau Rehabilitation Society. Peter have been working in Australia and in Hong Kong in community health and community-based rehabilitation services for people with disabilities and chronic health conditions. He was the pioneer in the development of the Chinese version Chronic Disease Self-management Program developed by the Stanford University and the first certified T-trainers in the Asia-pacific region. He has been actively involved in various developmental projects including the e2Care Project which is supported by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities that aims to transform the conventional model of chronic disease self-management education by integrating the on-line and off-line service delivery.

As an Customer Solutions Architect for Cisco Systems HK, Mr. Raymond Poon is the lead for Cisco Internet of Things vision locally representing the largest network communication company in the world. He has over 20 years of experience in wire and wireless networking communication technologies. His daily role involves closely dealing with manufacturing, utilities, retail and logistics business listening to their challenges and provide advice and suggestion to solves their business problem which enable them to digitally transform their businesses.

Mr. Paul Pun is the Secretary General of Caritas Macau. He is con-currently the principal of St. John de Brito School and was also one of its founders. He has been working in the social service field for more than 30 years. Paul graduated from the Department of Social Work, University of Guam, and received his Master of Social Work degree from Columbia University. He has made many proactive contributions, advocacy and recommendations on a number of social policies in Macau. In 2009, he received the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace medal from Vatican Pontifical Commission for Justice and Peace. Since the beginning of the 1980, Paul has established a variety of social services through Caritas Macau, including services related to family, elderly, youth, rehabilitation, stress counseling, education, homeless, the poor, and foreign workers. He has also served as a Director of the Hong Kong-based Asia Partnership for Human Development (APHD).

Mr. Gabe Rijpma is Sr. Director Health & Social Services for Asia. Based in Christchurch, New Zealand, Gabe’s responsibilities include leading the teams responsible for meeting the needs of healthcare customers across the greater Asia Pacific region.

A seasoned global trekker, he spent 18 years of his career in Singapore, the USA and Australia before returning to his homeland in late 2015.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Gabe worked as Principal Consultant at Software Spectrum in Sydney, Australia, where he led the business solutions practice. His early career was spent as an entrepreneur and early pioneer in the Internet building numerous online businesses.

Mr Royea has led global efforts of both public and private venture backed technologies, with demonstrated successes in the healthcare and retail markets, from start-up to over $550M in sales. Most recently, Mr Royea structured the sale of Qi Imaging, Inc. (Ziosoft US/Japan) to Dr Patrick Soon-Shiong’s Nantworks to enable a centralized patient data domain containing imaging and genomic data targeted at cardiovascular and cancer research. Mr Royea was awarded the Top 40 Healthcare Transformer honor by MM&M Magazine in 2016, and his leadership helped Cyrcadia to be awarded the Gold Edison Award for Top Wearable Device in Healthcare in 2016. Mr Royea is a senior operational, sales, and marketing executive with demonstrated success at creating and executing strategies necessary to grow sophisticated medical technology and software companies. Has proven visionary expertise in facilitating market expansion through merger, acquisition, strategic partnership, and corporate branding resulting in sustainable revenue and EBITDA gains. Through Cyrcadia Health, Mr Royea is now introducing a wearable early breast cancer detection technology designed to automatically alert the women’s physician and insurance provider to an early cancer indication, to improve dense tissue accuracy and to reduce unnecessary breast surgeries.

Dr Bernhard Schwartländer took up his position as WHO Representative in China on 1 September 2013.

Before joining WHO in China, he served as Director for Evidence, Policy and Innovation at UNAIDS headquarters in Geneva and as the United Nations Country Coordinator on AIDS in Beijing, China.

Dr Schwartländer held a number of senior international positions including as the Director for Performance Evaluation and Policy at the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, Director of the World Health Organization’s HIV Department, and as the Director of Evaluation and Strategic Information at UNAIDS. In 2000, Dr Schwartländer undertook a special assignment at the World Bank to perform economic analyses on the cost and impact of the HIV/AIDS epidemic and the responses to it.

Prior to joining the United Nations, Dr Schwartländer was the Director of the national AIDS programme in Germany and the Director of the Division of Infectious Disease Epidemiology at the Robert Koch-Institut in Berlin, the central biomedical and infectious disease research and reference laboratory of the federal Ministry of Health, Germany.

Dr Schwartländer has published widely in scientific journals and books and taught applied epidemiology in Berlin. He brings extensive experience in development policies as well as infectious disease epidemiology and programming at global and country levels, and holds appointments as adjunct professor with Peking and Tsinghua Universities in Beijing.

Dr Schwartländer is a medical doctor and holds a doctorate in medical epidemiology. He received his education and professional training in Germany and the US at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Dr. Ivan Su is the Senior Manager (Professional Development) of SAHK and Director of the SAHK Institute of Rehabilitation Practice. A physiotherapist by training, Dr. Su obtained his doctorate in Health Science at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and received an Honorary Conductor award granted by the International Petö Association, Hungary in 2007. He joined SAHK in 1987 and appointed Senior Physiotherapist in 1992. He specialises in curriculum development for adults with developmental disabilities and recently more in service development in community-based rehabilitation and supports for adults with acquired conditions. He served as a member of the Advisory Committee on Rehabilitation Sciences, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2012 to 2014 and is currently a member of the Appeal Board for Standardised Assessment for Residential Services for People with Disabilities, Social Welfare Department, Hong Kong.

Thomas Sudow is Director of Business Development for Cleveland Clinic Innovation (one of the top 2 hospitals in the U.S.) and he served for 9 years as the Business Development Director for the Global Cardiovascular Innovation Center (GCIC). He also served as the Director of Business Development for the Global Healthcare Innovation Alliance. Tom serves as an Advisor to eHealth Ventures, a venture capital firm investing internationally in the digital health space; as a member of the Due Diligence Committee for the Akron BioInnovation Fund (Fund 1 and 2); and as advisor to two Chinese investment Firms – SCI and PX Advisors. Tom is also the Director of the Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at Ashland University. Prior to joining the Cleveland Clinic, Tom served as Vice President for Team NEO, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce in Beachwood where ; and as managing Partner of TNS & Associates. Tom has also served in leadership for a number of international and community organizations. He is a frequent guest columnist and commentator in publications and on radio and TV. For his outstanding work, he has been recognized with awards from many economic development and community organizations.

Mr Stephen SUI was appointed as the Secretary for Labour and Welfare on February 13, 2017.

Mr Sui holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Public Administration degree of the University of Hong Kong. He joined the Hong Kong Government in 1978 and served in various bureaux and departments including the former Music Administrator's Office, the former City and New Territories Administration, the Land Registry, the former Urban Services Department, the Civil Service Bureau and the Department of Justice. He was the Commissioner for Rehabilitation between February 2008 and July 2014, responsible for the overall co-ordination of the rehabilitation policies and initiatives for persons with disabilities. He became the Under Secretary for Labour and Welfare in August 2014

Ir Dr. Eric W. C. Tam, is the Associate Dean of Students and Head of the Office of Student Resources and Residential Life at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). Dr. Tam is also the Director of the Jockey Club Rehabilitation Engineering Centre and Assistant Professor of the Interdisciplinary Division of Biomedical Engineering. Ir Dr. Tam has over twenty-five years of experiences in providing assistive technology services to the local community. His professional interests included the application of Assistive Technologies for elderly and the disabled; Environmental Accessibility as well as the Etiology and Prevention of Pressure Ulcer.

Ms. Tong Choi Ying has been serving the local elderly care services for 17 years. She had pioneered different kinds of pilot projects and schemes, not only in the elderly but also the rehabilitation and family service settings. She has graduated in the University of Hong Kong in 1993 for the Bachelor of Social Work and Social Administration and 1995 for the Master of Philosophy as well as the City University of Hong Kong in 2005 for the Master of Arts ( Information System ). Her strength is on developing innovative service ideas and piloting new services.

Ms. Lily Truong is the co-founder and CEO of Clear Ear, a privately held consumer medical device company focused on delivering innovations that make ears happier. Clear Ear was founded out of the Stanford Biodesign Program and has since commercialized its first product, the Oto-Tip.

She is the inventor on multiple patents & enjoys coaching fellow entrepreneurs through the biodesign process. In addition, her past volunteer work included serving on the board of the Healthy Scholars Foundation, a non-profit focused on removing heath barriers to learning. Prior to Clear Ear, Lily earned her B.S. and M.S. in Biomechanical Engineering from Stanford University. Her passion for global health innovations has brought about her diverse work experience within the healthcare industry at Genentech & Alcon in the U.S., Wavelight AG in Germany, and Focused Photonics in China.

Mr. Michael Tsui is the founder and CEO of Deltason Medical Ltd and Rehab-Robotics Company Ltd. He has almost 20 years of vast experience in medical device industry. With the background of occupational therapist, he has been dedicated to spearhead new technologies in the field of medical device by introducing high-quality rehabilitation system to Hong Kong. Mr. Tsui commercialized a medical device named Hand of Hope, which has gained the Grand Prix Award of the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva and this prize is awarded to Hong Kong-based organization for first time in 40 years. He is also the pioneer to introduce integrated pharmacy automation system to hospitals of Hong Kong. His endeavor has improved the convention pharmacy system in some hospitals by increasing the efficiency and accuracy of drug dispensing. From a registered occupational therapist to a successful entrepreneur, Mr. Tsui always remembers his responsibility and duty to society.

Mr Chang-sheng Wang has a master’s qualification. He is the Deputy Director-General of the Department of Civil Affairs of Guangdong Province. He oversees a number of offices, including the Office of the Committee on Ageing of Guangdong Province.

Professor Johanna Westbrook is Director of the Centre for Health Systems and Safety Research, Australian Institute of Health Innovation, Macquarie University. She is internationally recognised for her research evaluating the effects of information and communication technology (ICT) in health care. She has over 390 publications and been awarded >$40M in research grants. Johanna has led important research in the development and application of approaches to evaluate ICT, including new tools and methods which have been adopted internationally. Her research has led to significant advances in our understanding of how clinical information systems deliver (or fail to deliver) expected benefits and supported translation of this evidence into policy, practice, and IT system changes. Johanna is currently leading research investigating the role and impact of ICT in the community and aged care sector. She was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Medical Informatics in 2005. In 2014 she was named Australian ICT professional of the year by the Australian Information Industry Association and in 2015 was appointed Associate Editor of the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association. In 2016 she was appointed to the Board of the Australian Digital Health Agency.

Mr. Stephen Wong received a B.A. Degree in Economics from the University of Chicago, Phi Beta Kappa, and an M.A. Degree in East Asian Studies (Whitney and Betty MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies) from Yale University. Since then, he worked for a number of global financial institutions, including as an Executive Director in UBS (London) and a Managing Director at RBS. Mr. Wong joined Our Hong Kong Foundation as Senior Consultant in May 2015, and was appointed Deputy Executive Director and Head of Public Policy in November of the same year. He is now Deputy Executive Director and Head of Public Policy Institute.

Mr. Wong's public service includes various advisory roles appointed by the Hong Kong Government, including Committee Member of the Financial Services Development Council, Sub-committee Co-opt Member of the Sustainable Development Council, and Member of Investment Committee of the Beat Drugs Fund. Mr. Wong is also active in community service. He is Chairman of the Clean Air Network and Vice Chairman of the Budget and Allocation Committee of the Community Chest. Mr. Wong is also a part-time Lecturer at the Chinese University of Hong Kong for the Master of Social Science in Global Political Economy, and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Hong Kong University SPACE for the Institute for China Business.

Albert Wong joined Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) on February 1, 2016 as the Chief Corporate Development Officer.  He was appointed the CEO on August 1, 2016.

Albert holds an Engineering Degree from the University of Hong Kong, and an MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.  Albert has over thirty years of commercial experience with various multinationals, including Schlumberger, Caterpillar, Emerson Electric and General Electric.  Before joining the HKSTP, Albert was the CEO of ATAL Engineering in Hong Kong.  Prior to that, Albert spent fifteen years with GE in the US headquarters, Asia-Pacific and China, in which he was responsible for M&A, Business Development, Product Management, and Business Operations.  Albert’s last positions at GE were China CEO of GE Oil & Gas; Asia CEO of GE Industrial Solutions.

Albert is committed to build an ecosystem in Hong Kong to drive development in Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship.  He firmly believes that the future of Hong Kong rides on the success of this ecosystem.

Mr. Robert Wong is a Hong Kong registered architect and a member of Royal Institute of British Architects with over twenty years of professional experience and academic training in architecture, design and urban development planning. Over the years, he has been actively involved in community services. He is currently holding the position of Project Development Director at Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council Limited and passionate to use humanities design projects in helping the poor, elderly and the disadvantaged.

Robert was awarded the Hong Kong Ten Outstanding Young Person 2015 to recognize his achievement in the architectural profession and his contribution to community in Hong Kong. In the architectural professions, Robert has continuously received different design awards including design competitions in Singapore, Korea and Hong Kong. Building upon Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council Limited’s rich experience of elderly service and its architectural design, Robert worked together with his colleagues to publish “Construct Miracles for Seniors – Reference Booklet for Elderly Service Project Design” in China.

Mr. Wong Lai Choi, RSW, Service Director of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council Limited, has worked and supervise in a wide variety of social service units over 20 years, including Youth Service, Total Integrated Services, Employment and Training Service, Day Care Service, District Elderly Community Service, Neighbourhood Elderly Centre, Integrated Home Care Services, Subvented and Self-financing Residential Care Home. He is devoted to building an aged age-friendly community to help elderly people lead a fruitful life.

Mr. Joe Wong currently is the Chief Operating Officer in Sengital Group and Chief Executive Officer in Medisen Limited. He is active in technology and Engineering related field in Hong Kong. He currently is a Vice President (Incubatee) of Technology Incubation Network, which helps serve by providing a network for knowledge, experience and ideas. He also is a Chairman of CUHK Engineering Faculty Alumni Association, being eligible for all graduates of Engineering Faculty, CUHK for membership. On the other hand, he is a member of Committee Member of Hong Kong Electronics & Technologies Association, helps members improve and upgrade their technological and management expertise.

Mr. Wong has obtained an US provisional patent for the Conversion of two acceleration vectors to angular velocity for game controller applications with Dr. Hiu Fung Lam, the CEO of Sengital Group. Mr. Wong leads the team for different R&D projects, technologies and manages the company operation for long time.

Mr. Frank Wong is an architect by profession and has been involved in institutional design in the private sector for almost 10 years before joining the Government. He was the Project Director in Architectural Services Department handling mainly government offices, law courts and school projects before joining the Energizing Kowloon East Office of the Development Bureau in September 2016 as the Deputy Head of Office.

Mr. Eric Wong is a civil engineer and has been working in the Transport Department for over 14 years in the field of traffic engineering and information system. His main areas of interest are intelligent transport systems, smart mobility and geographic information system. He is currently responsible for disseminating real-time traffic information to the public, e.g. CCTV, cross harbor tunnel journey time, speed map panel and special traffic news. He developed the Hong Kong eTransport and Hong Kong eRouting mobile applications for public to search public transport and driving routes.

Dr. Allen Wong is the Head of Product and Business Development of HKT Limited, responsible for product management and business development that serves Residential market segment.  This includes ‘eye’ multimedia service for fixed line, Netvigator fiber broadband, Smart Living home automation and networking, eSmartHealth cloud-based health management system, HKT Education e-Learning solutions and Smart Charge electric-vehicle charging services.  Allen is also one of the founders and technology inventors of “nowTV” IPTV platform.

Allen has over 20 years of R&D experience in Broadband Internet and Video Technologies over different kinds of physical media such as Coaxial cable, Satellite, xDSL, Fiber and WiFi.  Prior joining PCCW Ltd in 2001, Allen has held several senior technical sales positions in 3Com Asia Pacific Ltd., Harmonics Inc., LSI Logic, C-Cube Micro-system and A.S. Watson Group (A Hutchison Whampoa Company).  Allen holds a Ph.D. degree in Opto-eletronics Engineering from University of Bath, UK and BSc (First Class Honours) in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the same university.

Working for over 20 years in the IT industry, Mr. Vincent Wong has experience in the field of software and system development. Vincent is currently managing several research projects funded by the ITF (Innovation and Technology Fund) administered by the Innovation and Technology Commission of the HKSAR. One of the projects of which he is in charge is the development of a cloud-based infrastructure which, together with the “Smart Blind Cane” developed by the Centre, provides assistance to the visually impaired to offer aid in their daily lives. Vincent had also represented the Centre to participate in the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions in 2016, where the “Smart Blind Cane” was awarded with the “Gold Medal with Congratulations of the Jury”.

Ms. Wong is the Elderly Services Director of the Hong Kong Chinese Women’s Club. She obtains her BSW from the University of Manitoba, Canada, and her Master of Science in Social Work from the Columbia University, NY, specializing in gerontology and clinical practice. Ms. Wong is an experienced practitioner and trainer in aged care for many years and is the pioneer of numerous elderly services and programs in Hong Kong including elder learning, LTC assessment, care planning & quality monitoring, as well as dementia care services. She is currently serving in numerous government bureau and department working groups related to aged care services enhancement and planning.

Dr. Woo is the founding director of the Center for Global Community & Engagement under School of Engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.  He leads and develops the student’s enrichment programs with multi-disciplinary units, engineering professional institutes, NGOs, and industrial partners. He runs several student engineering projects which are addressed community needs.

Dr. Woo has been very actively involved in teaching innovation. Beside developing different experiential learning courses, he encourages and supervise students to join various project design competitions. Some projects are being able to contribute to the wellbeing of society and fulfilling the social responsibility.

Mr. Arnold Wu became interested in robotic engineering when he was nine, and extended his knowledge to electronics, programming, fabrication and mechanics. With his cross-disciplinary experience he leads the company's innovation process. He actively promotes innovation in many spheres, and is a Student Invention Award Judge for the HKICT Award, Founder & Chairperson of the BNI Sunshine chapter and Co-founder of the Hong Kong Maker Club.

Mr Nicholas Yang was appointed Secretary for Innovation and Technology of the fourth-term Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on 20 November 2015. The Innovation and Technology Bureau is responsible for policy matters on information technology, as well as innovation and technology.

Mr Yang graduated in 1977 from the California Institute of Technology in the United States with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics.  He pursued further studies in Stanford University and obtained a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 1978 and a Master of Business Administration degree in 1982. Mr Yang worked as a senior design engineer for Intel Corporation in 1978 and subsequently as a strategic management consultant for Bain & Company. Returning to Hong Kong in 1983, he joined Shell Electric Mfg. (Holdings) Limited as its Executive Director and Deputy Group Managing Director. He was senior consultant and director of several venture capital and private equity investment firms in 2002. Mr Yang was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited in 2003 and was an Executive Vice President of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2010 to February 2015.  In March 2015, he was appointed by the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government as Advisor on Innovation and Technology, and a Non-official Member of the Executive Council which is the Chief Executive's top advising body.

Dr Jason Yap is a public health physician with 30 years of healthcare experience with diverse responsibilities covering public policy, informatics, marketing and education, he now serves as an Associate Professor in the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health in the National University Health System, where he supports undergraduate, postgraduate, executive and continuing professional education in various capacities. He is the Program Director for the NUHS National Preventive Medicine Residency Program. His academic interests are in Integrated Care, Health Informatics and Healthcare Management.

In his career, he has been involved in major healthcare changes in Singapore. From 1999 to 2005 in the National Healthcare Group, he worked first in hospital health information management, and then in 2001 set up NetCare (the first comprehensive personalized patient portal in Singapore) as well as an online pharmacy and the Integrated Care Information System, the national stepdown care electronic referral system. In 2002, he joined NHG’s core team for the consolidation of the cluster’s multiple hospital IT departments, serving as IT Director for corporate services and planning, quality management, and IT security. During this time, he conceptualized NHG’s ONE Vision for IT Consolidation as well as NHG’s proposal of the national Electronic Medical Record eXchange for patient information sharing in the public sector. When attached to Tan Tock Seng Hospital as a clinical epidemiologist during the SARS outbreak in 2003, he designed and led the development of SARSWeb, a patient contact information exchange platform for the Ministry of Health, public and private healthcare providers.

Professor Yeoh is Professor of Public Health, Director at the JC School of Public Health and Primary Care of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and also Head of Division of Health System, Policy and Management at the JC School of Public Health and Primary Care.  His research is in health systems, services and policy.  A current research interest is applying a system framework in enhancing an integrated health and social care delivery model for the elderly population.  He is a member of the Research Council of Our Hong Kong Foundation.  He leads in the Asia Pacific Network for Health Systems Strengthening in knowledge transfer to enable strengthening of health systems.  He is also a member of the International Advisory Board of the National University of Singapore Initiative to improve health in Asia.

Prior to joining The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Professor Yeoh was Secretary for Health, Welfare and Food of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region between 1999 and 2004. From 1990 – 1999, Professor Yeoh was head & the first Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority.  He was President of the International Hospital Federation from 2001 – 2003 and was awarded the Hospital Management Asia Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002.

He was awarded JP in 1993, OBE in 1997 by the Hong Kong Government and GBS in 2005 by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Ms. Lanly, Yeung Wai Lan is the Service Manager of the St. James’ Settlement C&W District Elderly Community Centre. She has 18 years working experience in elderly service, including support team for the elderly, caregivers’ support service, volunteer development, Funeral Navigation Service etc. She is also involved in developing new projects to meet existing service gap for the elderly.

Mr. Alan Yeung is an Executive Committee Member of The Elderly Services Association of Hong Kong. He holds the degree of Master of Business Administration, Macquarie Graduate School of Management, Australia; Master of Management (Finance), Macquarie Graduate School of Management, Australia; CEC in e-Logistics Management, City University Hong Kong, Master of Technology Management, University of New South Wales, Australia; and Bachelor of Science (Computer), University of New South Wales, Australia.

Happy-Retired (www.happy-retired.com) is an O2O platform tailored for Hong Kong’s “young old” (age range: 50 - 70). The platform encompasses website, mobile app, social media and offline community. Mr. Yip Kam Sing is the social worker of Po Leung Kuk Lau Chan Siu Po District Elderly Community Centre. He is responsible for leading and coordinating the project of building an age-friendly community in East Kwun Tong. The project aims at arousing the community awareness of creating an age-friendly environment, strengthening the roles and encouraging participation of elders in community through education and co-operation with various district parties.

Mr. Takaaki Yoshikawa graduated in Bucknell University - Lewisburg, PA, USA and got his Masters Degree in Industrial Design at Pratt Institute - Brooklyn, NY, USA
     
He worked with Takara Belmont USA, Inc from 1980-1989 and was responsible for product design & development in Dental Care Division and Beauty Care Division.

Mr. Yoshikawa joined Panasonic Corporation in 1995 and focused on Overseas Product Planning and Corporate Strategic Planning.  At present, he is Councilor of the Advanced R&D Planning & Promotion Group of the R&D Planning Office in the Corporation. He is responsible for Promotion of Innovation within Engineering Division.  Under his leadership, open innovation activities (eg. supported alliance with MIT Media Lab, Stanford Univ. Design School, IDEO, Ziba design) have been expanded.  Besides, he is also responsible for the strategic planning for ceramic dental materials and senior care balance product, as well as the Global Strategy for AgeFree Division.

Mr. Alan Young is the Founder of Caritas Information Technology Advancement Centre, Caritas Hong Kong. Mr. Young is appointed the Head of CITAC, he is responsible for strategic direction, business development and overseeing the daily operations of the centre. His professional team provides IT services to the Hong Kong Diocese, Caritas Hong Kong, SMEs and HKSAR Government. Mr. Young is concurrently appointed as the Chief I.T. Officer of Canossa Hospital (Caritas) and Precious Blood Hospital (Caritas). He is responsible for the daily operations of the I.T. department of these two hospitals including the development of the two hospital information systems.

Mr. Young has also developed the elderly care management system, eCare, which is now being used by over 80 NGOs elderly homes in Hong Kong. He will demonstrate some new functions and development of this system at the summit.

Ms. Yu Li-li is currently the CEO of Old Five Old Foundation. She has been a member of Ministry of Health and Welfare’s Senior Citizens’ Welfare Committee; the Vice-director of Taiwan Home Service Strategic Alliance; Member of Taichung City Government Senior Citizens’ Welfare Committee; Managing Supervisor of Taichung Social Worker Association. She is the Adjunct Lecturer of colleges and universities in Taiwan Ministry of Education approved lecturer Senior social worker of higher examination. She is now a Doctoral student of the Department of Social Policy and Social Work, National Chi-Nan University.

Dr. Ruoyi Zhou is responsible for developing technology and tools to enable accessibility for IBM products, solutions, and services; creating assistive technology for people with special needs; and leading IoT-based cognitive solutions for Aging across IBM Research. Previously, Ruoyi was the Director responsible for the partnership between Research and IBM Global Business Services. She also served as the executive staff in the Lab Director’s office at IBM’s Almaden Research Center managing Research strategy and operations. Ruoyi spent the early part of her career at IBM as an engineer for the design of magnetic recording heads and development of disk technology. Prior to joining IBM, Ruoyi was a research scientist at the Los Alamos National Laboratory where she studied and researched process and characterization of high-temperature superconductors. She has over 30 publications and is the recipient of several patents. Ruoyi is an editorial board member for two Service Science journals. In 2010 she received the YWCA TWIN Award which recognizes successful women executives for their outstanding achievements.
