Dr Barratt is the Secretary General of the International Federation on Ageing (IFA) comprising government, industry, academia and non-governmental members in 73 countries and representing some 75 million older people. The IFA is a global point of connection of experts and expertise to help shape and influence age-related policy globally, whose vision is a world of healthy older people whose rights are both respected and protected.
Dr Barratt has direct responsibility for the IFAs global operational performance, quality and strategic implementation and business development including its relations with the United Nations agencies and the World Health Organization.
Dr Barratt is a Churchill Fellow, and honored to receive the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in Canada in recognition of her commitment and passion to enhance the understanding of issues relating to ageing and engaging in dialogue with governments and the private sector to improve the quality of life of older people
Dr Barratt serves on several national and international boards both public and private sectors and is an advisor of international studies related to the care of older people. She is Chair, Selection Committee for the Canadian National Centers of Excellence and former member of the Global Agenda Council on Ageing of the World Economic Forum.

Dr. Ngai-Yin Chan received his MBBS degree from the University of Hong Kong in 1992. He has been conferred FACC, FRCP(Edin), FRCP(Glasg), FRCP(Lond) and FHRS after graduation. He is currently Deputy Chief-of-Service and Consultant Physician in the Department of Medicine & Geriatrics in Princess Margaret Hospital. He is Honorary Clinical Associate Professor of Department of Medicine & Therapeutics in Chinese University of Hong Kong. He was the past President of the Hong Kong Interhospital Network of Pacing and Cardiac Electrophysiology. He is currently the Honorary Treasurer of the Hong Kong College of Cardiology. He is the first author of over 40 peer-reviewed manuscripts and abstracts. He is the editor of a textbook titled “The Practice of Catheter Cryoablation For Arrhythmias”. With his outstanding performance both professionally and in the community contribution, he won the Hong Kong Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award in the year of 2006 and the Hong Kong Humanity Award in the year of 2015.

Mr. Chan Wan Mow (Uncle Mow) aged over 80, has been devoted to participate in volunteer services after retire. Uncle Mow was the founder of the Tsuen Kwai Tsing Elderly Council which organized in 2007, and has been being the leader of the Kwai Tsing Age-Friendly Ambassador Troops since 2009. The Kwai Tsing Age-Friendly Ambassador Troops initiated the Priority Seats at Rainshelters Project with encouraging support from Kwai Tsing District Council in 2014. Uncle Mow witnesses the Age-Friendly Hong Kong commence and develop. He is willing to share his experience in promoting Age-Friendly Community in the territory, especially with the elders. Uncle Mow use to be awarded the Outstanding Third Age Citizens Award, and also the Outstanding Contribution to Volunteer Service of the Secretary for Home Affairs’ Commendation Scheme.
Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology, Stanford University; Co-founder of AVA Inc., USA
Professor Chang is a medical innovator on faculty at Stanford University. He is a trained biodesign educator and startup mentor. As a full-time glaucoma and cataract expert surgeon, Dr Chang is an early adopter of new medical technologies and currently focuses research on machine learning, portable imaging, wearables, and telemedicine. He is co-inventor of the first universal smartphone adapter to take pictures of the front and back of the eye, licensed to Digisight Technologies as the PAXOS scope. He also co-created the first Stanford-China Biodesign Bootcamp (http://www.dhealthclass.com/) held at the Stanford Center at Peking University in Beijing, runs the annual DreamCatchers MedTech Hackathon in Hong Kong (www.dreamcatchers.hku.hk/), and leads healthcare innovation in Brazil (hilab.org).
Dr Chang received his MD from a combined BA/MD program at the University of Missouri, Kansas City School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the prestigious Washington University in St. Louis, followed by a research and clinical glaucoma fellowship at the renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami. He has published 40 peer-reviewed papers, delivered more than 100 invited national and international lectures, been awarded many grants, holds multiple patents, and advises medtech, pharma, and digital health companies on a regular basis.

Dr. Raymond Chuen-chung Chang, Associate Professor of the School of Biomedical Sciences, is the Lab Chief for the Laboratory of Neurodegenerative Diseases, member in The State Key Laboratory of Brain and Cognitive Sciences. Dr. Chang is also the Founder and Secretary of HKU Alzheimer’s Disease Research Network. His research interest is pathophysiological (apoptosis & autophagy) changes of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and the risk factors leading to AD. He has published 130 peer-reviewed papers and 14 book chapters in these areas. His h-index is 34 by Scopus. Dr. Chang is in the Scientific Advisory Board of International AD/PD Symposium since 1998. Dr. Yen-Fu Chen is Assistant Professor of the Media Design Department and joint appointment Assistant Professor of the Industrial Design Department at Tatung University, Taiwan. He is also the Principal Investigator of Participatory Design Lab, Tatung University, investigating into how designers empower stakeholders as co-designers to bring knowledge of their context in designing for social innovation. His design research projects cover interaction design, game design and product design with a focus on the issue of active aging, healthcare, and sustainability. Mr Chua Hoi-wai became the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (the Council) in 2013. Mr Shao-xiong Fang was born in August 1962. He has obtained a postgraduate qualification. He has served in different frontline and commander positions in the military service of the Fujian Province from December 1976 to November 1996. From November 1996 to July 2012, he has served in the Department of Civil Affairs of Fujian Province and was a division chief before he left the department. He has been the Deputy Executive Director of the Office of the Committee on Ageing of Fujian Province since July 2012.

He is the principal investigator of TEC4Home - the use of sensors and wearables to improve the quality and safety of patient care when transitioning between hospitals and homes. TEC4Home is attracting international attention, with academic and commercial collaborators across Canada, Europe, and Australia. In the BC Emergency Medicine Network, he leads the provincial development of a virtual network of emergency physicians to provide mutual and real time electronic support. He is the Executive Director of inter-Cultural Online Health Network, supporting the multicultural populations in BC to raise digital health literacy for chronic disease management. Dr. Joost van Hoof works as a research leader in the field of Evidence-Based Design for Healthcare with Fontys University of Applied Sciences in The Netherlands. Takashi Iba is an associate professor in the Faculty of Policy Management and the Graduate School of Media and Governance at Keio University, Japan. Collaborating with his students, Dr. Iba created many pattern languages concerning human actions like Learning Patterns (2014), Presentation Patterns (2014), Collaboration Patterns (2014), Words for a Journey (2015), Project Design Patterns (2016) and academic books in Japanese such as the bestselling Introduction to Complex Systems (1998). Mr Itoh suffered Polio when he was one-year old, Mr Itoh established Japan Abilities Association (NPO) in April 1966 after graduating from Waseda University. In June 1966, he started a company operated “by the disabled, for the disabled”. Started off as a printing company, the corporation expanded to the development, sales, import/export of the equipment for the disabled and the operation of facilities for the elderly and the disabled. In 2001, Mr Itoh started the National Network for JDA (Japanese with Disabilities Act) with other groups for the disabled. The law was later enacted in June 2013. Mr Itoh is the Chairperson of Japan Abilities Association and Guest Professor for Wenjing College of Yantai University, he was also awarded medals of Honor by the Prime Minister of Japan in 1987 and the Prince Henrik of Denmark in 2001.

Prof. Shih-Chung Jessy Kang, Ph.D. of Stanford University, is currently a professor in department of civil engineering in National Taiwan University. His research focuses on the advanced visual and robotics tools for engineering purposes. He developed multiple methods on the automation and simulation for crane operations. He is now the editor-in-chief of Visulziation in Engineering. He edited multiple special issues on the topics related to the visualziation and robotics applications. Prof. Kang is also an active researcher on innovative engineering education. He offers courses on engineering graphics, game development, data visualization and robotics and was award as NTU excellent teacher. His coursera course on engineering graphic was ranked top 2% MOOCs among Chinese learners.

At present position, Mr. Kobayashi has been engaged in development/promotion of technical aids, assistive devices, care robotics, as well as housing modifications, etc. to enhance care environment for elderly persons and their caring families, as well as of staff members and executives at care service facilities. He also engages himself in wider range of activities, such as clinical works in the field of neuropsychology and rehabilitation with cancer patients, as well as education on occupational therapist both during the graduate courses and post-graduate stage.

Mr. Koo Wai Lam has more than 30 years IT-related working experiences. He joined The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hong Kong 10 years ago and now manages an IT training Institute & develops a numbers of IT related courses for the elderly. To serve elderly who have less IT knowledge, the institute organized some digital Inclusion projects that lead a numbers of IT volunteers to help train the elderly.

Mr Matthias Kück is a qualified process engineer who founded the company Biozoon GmbH in 2001. He is CEO and technical director of the successful SME as well as Co-founder of the so-called smoothfood concept, a nutrition concept targeted to frail and elderly suffering from mastication and swallowing difficulties. Matthias Kück was highly active in European Research since FP IV both as coordinator and as participant.

Dr. Edith Kwan Ngan-hing held a number of senior positions from 1980’s – 1997 that included Pacific Area IS Director for The Dow Chemical Company, the IT Service Director for PolyU and CIO of AT&T Asia Pacific. In 1997, while she was the Executive IT Director for the Hong Kong Jockey Club, she was hit by a major stroke and rehabilitated in 5-6 years.
She obtained Doctor of Business Administration from PolyU in 2003 and obtained MSocSc from HKU in 2009.
Her 2nd areer in non-profit organizations includes spearheading the Hong Kong IT Professional Certification; and leading accessible transport services (for people with disabilities and chronic illness). She participated in various Government Advisory Committees and Workgroups with LWB, EDB, SWD HA, OGCIO from 2008 onwards.
She received Distinguished Fellow from Hong Kong Computer Society in 2010, Outstanding Woman Professional Award by HKWPEA in 2011, Medal of Honor from HKSAR in 2014, Outstanding 3rd Age Citizen Award and the Outstanding PolyU Alumni Award from PolyU in 2015.
Clinical Psychologist, Division of Clinical Psychology, Hong Kong Psychological Society
Mr. Kwok is currently a clinical psychologist (CP) working in the Hospital Authority (HA). After obtaining his master degree of clinical psychology, he worked in the Department of Health to develop dementia care materials and attend media interviews for health promotion. He is currently appointed as the Convener of the Working Group of Elderly Service to promote CP elderly service development in HA. He developed different kinds of group treatment protocols, including cognitive behavioral therapy group treatment for elderly patients with mild cognitive impairment. He is a member of the Hong Kong Psychological Society (Division of Clinical Psychology) and appointed as the Convener of the Working Group of Column Writing (Sky Post) to promote dementia care and mental health. He is also the Honorary Practicum Supervisor of master program in Clinical Psychology and part-time lecturer of professional development centre in various non-government organizations.

Professor Daniel Lai is Chair Professor of Social Work and Gerontology, Head of the Department of Applied Social Sciences (APSS), and Director of the Institute of Active Ageing (IAA) at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He began his career as a frontline social worker working with families and older adults; and in the past 30 years of academic involvement, he has devoted to integrating research and practice in social work and gerontology, social policy, culture and immigration, and outcome evaluation. Before joining the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, he was Professor and Associate Dean (Research & Partnerships) in the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Calgary, Canada between 2000 and 2015. He was also named Alberta Heritage Health Scholar in 2003-09 and Killam Annual Professor in 2014-15.

Dr Lam is the CEO of Haven of Hope Christian Service. Under his leadership, Haven of Hope Christian Service is one of the pioneers in the provision of holistic end-of-life care for the elderly in Hong Kong.
He is now the Chairman of the Elderly Commission and the Elderly Care Service, Industry Training Advisory Committee of the Education Bureau. He also heads the Elderly Commission Working Group on Long Term Care Model and advises the Government on the reform in the related policies. He is also the Chairman of the Community Investment & Inclusion Fund Committee and the Advisory Committee of “The Opportunities for the Elderly Project” of Social Welfare Department. Dr Lam is also the Executive Committee Member and the Chairman of the Special Committee on Elderly Housing of the Hong Kong Housing Society. Dr Lam has been honored by the HKSAR Government with the Justice of Peace and Bronze Bauhinia Star for his devotion to public services.

Mr. Isaac Lam Siu Hin graduated from Computer Engineering at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. After graduation, he founded Mindvivid Limited to pursue his dream and take the social responsibility in addition to developing his business ambition. Now Isaac is the Chief Executive Officer of Mindvivid, his main duty is to research and develop the dementia related products.
Mindvivid aims to create a leading platform on dementia diagnosis, prevention and data management focusing on mid-aged people and the elderly. In the process of research and development, Mindvivid is now collaborating with researches of HKUST and CUHK. In 2017, an innovative brain training application- “Brainastic” was launched by Mindvivid and aims to provide a relaxing, entertaining, scientific oriented, Chinese oriented dementia prevention tool to the Hong Kong society.

Mr. Otto Lau is now the General Secretary for Social Services of Christian & Missionary Alliance Church Union Hong Kong Ltd. The agency develops a wide range of innovative projects to support the elderly in the community. Otto has been involved in the promotion of age friendly campaign through active participation in the steering committee of Age Friendly Hong Kong and motivate agency staff to practice age friendly measures in service delivery, including the design of service centres, involvement of elderly members, community participation, caring of elderly and families.
Mr. Daniel Lau is currently the Director (Development and Marketing) of the Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS). Graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Mr. Lau is a Chartered Surveyor by profession and has extensive experience in areas of planning, land and marketing.
Before joining HKHS, Mr. Lau has worked with the Lands Department of Hong Kong SAR Government. In his current capacity, Mr. Lau focuses on exploring and formulating new housing schemes, project planning, land acquisition and strategic marketing.
Mr. Lau was also involved in the development of various elderly housing initiatives launched by HKHS, including the Aging-in-Place scheme for the tenants of the HKHS’s rental estates, the Senior Citizen Residences (SEN) Scheme targeting at the middle-income elderly, and the quality elderly housing project The Tanner Hill.

Dr. C.K. Law (J.P., S.B.S., G.B.S.), Associate Professor, Department of Social Work and Social Administration, serves in HKU since 1981. He has broad research interests including various areas of social policies (welfare, health, labour, housing and education). He is regularly engaged by many government bureaux and departments as consultant and advisor. He was co-founder of the Senior Citizen Home Safety Association and he serves as board member in a number of NGOs, including Caritas HK, HK Christian Service, Boys' and Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong. He was a Legislative Council member (1995-97, 1998-2004). He is currently the Chairman of the Community Care Fund Task Force, member of the Commission on Poverty, Statistics Advisory Board and Commission on Strategic Development of the HKSAR government.

Goldie Nejat is the Canada Research Chair in Robots for Society and the Director of the Institute for Robotics and Mechatronics (IRM) at the University of Toronto. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering and Founder and Director of the Autonomous Systems and Biomechatronics Laboratory (asblab.mie.utoronto.ca).
Prof. Nejat’s research is leading the development of intelligent assistive robots to meet the challenges posed by an aging population. Her interactive robots are being designed to provide cognitive and social interventions, help with activities of daily living, and lead group recreational activities to improve the quality of life of older adults. Her team collaborates with healthcare experts and healthcare facilities in order to develop these unique social robots so that they can be effectively integrated into everyday life.
Prof. Nejat has over 140 international publications and has been invited to speak at numerous events and institutions around the world. Her team's work has also been showcased in approximately 70 media stories. In 2013, she received the Engineers Canada Young Engineer Achievement Award and in 2012, the Professional Engineers of Ontario Young Engineer Medal. Both awards are for her exceptional achievements in robotics.

Mr. Benson Ng has devoted to serve the elderly for more than 20 years. He focuses particularly on the development of Community Care and Community Support Services for the elderly, and promoting elderly social participation in Hong Kong. He is one of the pioneers to advocate Age-Friendly Hong Kong movement since 2009. He used to be the convenor of the Task Force on Capacity Building and Good Practice Sharing, Age-Friendly Hong Kong Steering Committee of the Hong Kong Council of Social Services. WHO Representative in China
Dr Bernhard Schwartländer took up his position as WHO Representative in China on 1 September 2013.
Before joining WHO in China, he served as Director for Evidence, Policy and Innovation at UNAIDS headquarters in Geneva and as the United Nations Country Coordinator on AIDS in Beijing, China.
Dr Schwartländer held a number of senior international positions including as the Director for Performance Evaluation and Policy at the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, Director of the World Health Organization’s HIV Department, and as the Director of Evaluation and Strategic Information at UNAIDS. In 2000, Dr Schwartländer undertook a special assignment at the World Bank to perform economic analyses on the cost and impact of the HIV/AIDS epidemic and the responses to it.
Prior to joining the United Nations, Dr Schwartländer was the Director of the national AIDS programme in Germany and the Director of the Division of Infectious Disease Epidemiology at the Robert Koch-Institut in Berlin, the central biomedical and infectious disease research and reference laboratory of the federal Ministry of Health, Germany.
Dr Schwartländer has published widely in scientific journals and books and taught applied epidemiology in Berlin. He brings extensive experience in development policies as well as infectious disease epidemiology and programming at global and country levels, and holds appointments as adjunct professor with Peking and Tsinghua Universities in Beijing.
Dr Schwartländer is a medical doctor and holds a doctorate in medical epidemiology. He received his education and professional training in Germany and the US at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Dr. Ivan Su is the Senior Manager (Professional Development) of SAHK and Director of the SAHK Institute of Rehabilitation Practice. A physiotherapist by training, Dr. Su obtained his doctorate in Health Science at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and received an Honorary Conductor award granted by the International Petö Association, Hungary in 2007. He joined SAHK in 1987 and appointed Senior Physiotherapist in 1992. Mr Stephen SUI was appointed as the Secretary for Labour and Welfare on February 13, 2017.
Mr Sui holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Public Administration degree of the University of Hong Kong. He joined the Hong Kong Government in 1978 and served in various bureaux and departments including the former Music Administrator's Office, the former City and New Territories Administration, the Land Registry, the former Urban Services Department, the Civil Service Bureau and the Department of Justice. He was the Commissioner for Rehabilitation between February 2008 and July 2014, responsible for the overall co-ordination of the rehabilitation policies and initiatives for persons with disabilities. Ir Dr. Eric W. C. Tam, is the Associate Dean of Students and Head of the Office of Student Resources and Residential Life at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). Ms. Tong Choi Ying has been serving the local elderly care services for 17 years. She is the inventor on multiple patents & enjoys coaching fellow entrepreneurs through the biodesign process. In addition, her past volunteer work included serving on the board of the Healthy Scholars Foundation, a non-profit focused on removing heath barriers to learning. Mr. Michael Tsui is the founder and CEO of Deltason Medical Ltd and Rehab-Robotics Company Ltd. He has almost 20 years of vast experience in medical device industry. With the background of occupational therapist, he has been dedicated to spearhead new technologies in the field of medical device by introducing high-quality rehabilitation system to Hong Kong. Mr. Tsui commercialized a medical device named Hand of Hope, which has gained the Grand Prix Award of the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva and this prize is awarded to Hong Kong-based organization for first time in 40 years. He is also the pioneer to introduce integrated pharmacy automation system to hospitals of Hong Kong. Professor of Health Informatics; Director of Centre for Health Systems and Safety Research, Australian Institute of Health Innovation, Macquarie University, Australia
Professor Johanna Westbrook is Director of the Centre for Health Systems and Safety Research, Australian Institute of Health Innovation, Macquarie University. She is internationally recognised for her research evaluating the effects of information and communication technology (ICT) in health care. She has over 390 publications and been awarded >$40M in research grants. Johanna has led important research in the development and application of approaches to evaluate ICT, including new tools and methods which have been adopted internationally. Her research has led to significant advances in our understanding of how clinical information systems deliver (or fail to deliver) expected benefits and supported translation of this evidence into policy, practice, and IT system changes. Johanna is currently leading research investigating the role and impact of ICT in the community and aged care sector. She was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Medical Informatics in 2005. In 2014 she was named Australian ICT professional of the year by the Australian Information Industry Association and in 2015 was appointed Associate Editor of the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association. In 2016 she was appointed to the Board of the Australian Digital Health Agency.

Mr. Stephen Wong received a B.A. Degree in Economics from the University of Chicago, Phi Beta Kappa, and an M.A. Degree in East Asian Studies (Whitney and Betty MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies) from Yale University. Since then, he worked for a number of global financial institutions, including as an Executive Director in UBS (London) and a Managing Director at RBS. Mr. Wong joined Our Hong Kong Foundation as Senior Consultant in May 2015, and was appointed Deputy Executive Director and Head of Public Policy in November of the same year. He is now Deputy Executive Director and Head of Public Policy Institute.

Working for over 20 years in the IT industry, Mr. Vincent Wong has experience in the field of software and system development. Vincent is currently managing several research projects funded by the ITF (Innovation and Technology Fund) administered by the Innovation and Technology Commission of the HKSAR. One of the projects of which he is in charge is the development of a cloud-based infrastructure which, together with the “Smart Blind Cane” developed by the Centre, provides assistance to the visually impaired to offer aid in their daily lives. Vincent had also represented the Centre to participate in the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions in 2016, where the “Smart Blind Cane” was awarded with the “Gold Medal with Congratulations of the Jury”.

Ms. Wong is the Elderly Services Director of the Hong Kong Chinese Women’s Club. She obtains her BSW from the University of Manitoba, Canada, and her Master of Science in Social Work from the Columbia University, NY, specializing in gerontology and clinical practice. Dr. Woo is the founding director of the Center for Global Community & Engagement under School of Engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Mr Nicholas Yang was appointed Secretary for Innovation and Technology of the fourth-term Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on 20 November 2015. The Innovation and Technology Bureau is responsible for policy matters on information technology, as well as innovation and technology.
Mr Yang graduated in 1977 from the California Institute of Technology in the United States with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics. He pursued further studies in Stanford University and obtained a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 1978 and a Master of Business Administration degree in 1982. Mr Yang worked as a senior design engineer for Intel Corporation in 1978 and subsequently as a strategic management consultant for Bain & Company. Returning to Hong Kong in 1983, he joined Shell Electric Mfg. (Holdings) Limited as its Executive Director and Deputy Group Managing Director. He was senior consultant and director of several venture capital and private equity investment firms in 2002. Mr Yang was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited in 2003 and was an Executive Vice President of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University from 2010 to February 2015. In March 2015, he was appointed by the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government as Advisor on Innovation and Technology, and a Non-official Member of the Executive Council which is the Chief Executive's top advising body.

Dr Jason Yap is a public health physician with 30 years of healthcare experience with diverse responsibilities covering public policy, informatics, marketing and education, he now serves as an Associate Professor in the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health in the National University Health System, where he supports undergraduate, postgraduate, executive and continuing professional education in various capacities. He is the Program Director for the NUHS National Preventive Medicine Residency Program. His academic interests are in Integrated Care, Health Informatics and Healthcare Management.
In his career, he has been involved in major healthcare changes in Singapore. From 1999 to 2005 in the National Healthcare Group, he worked first in hospital health information management, and then in 2001 set up NetCare (the first comprehensive personalized patient portal in Singapore) as well as an online pharmacy and the Integrated Care Information System, the national stepdown care electronic referral system. In 2002, he joined NHG’s core team for the consolidation of the cluster’s multiple hospital IT departments, serving as IT Director for corporate services and planning, quality management, and IT security. During this time, he conceptualized NHG’s ONE Vision for IT Consolidation as well as NHG’s proposal of the national Electronic Medical Record eXchange for patient information sharing in the public sector. When attached to Tan Tock Seng Hospital as a clinical epidemiologist during the SARS outbreak in 2003, he designed and led the development of SARSWeb, a patient contact information exchange platform for the Ministry of Health, public and private healthcare providers.

Professor Yeoh is Professor of Public Health, Director at the JC School of Public Health and Primary Care of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and also Head of Division of Health System, Policy and Management at the JC School of Public Health and Primary Care. His research is in health systems, services and policy. A current research interest is applying a system framework in enhancing an integrated health and social care delivery model for the elderly population. He is a member of the Research Council of Our Hong Kong Foundation. He leads in the Asia Pacific Network for Health Systems Strengthening in knowledge transfer to enable strengthening of health systems. He is also a member of the International Advisory Board of the National University of Singapore Initiative to improve health in Asia.
Prior to joining The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Professor Yeoh was Secretary for Health, Welfare and Food of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region between 1999 and 2004. From 1990 – 1999, Professor Yeoh was head & the first Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority. He was President of the International Hospital Federation from 2001 – 2003 and was awarded the Hospital Management Asia Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002.

Mr. Alan Young is the Founder of Caritas Information Technology Advancement Centre, Caritas Hong Kong. Mr. Young is appointed the Head of CITAC, he is responsible for strategic direction, business development and overseeing the daily operations of the centre. Dr. Ruoyi Zhou is responsible for developing technology and tools to enable accessibility for IBM products, solutions, and services; creating assistive technology for people with special needs; and leading IoT-based cognitive solutions for Aging across IBM Research. Previously, Ruoyi was the Director responsible for the partnership between Research and IBM Global Business Services. She also served as the executive staff in the Lab Director’s office at IBM’s Almaden Research Center managing Research strategy and operations. Ruoyi spent the early part of her career at IBM as an engineer for the design of magnetic recording heads and development of disk technology. Prior to joining IBM, Ruoyi was a research scientist at the Los Alamos National Laboratory where she studied and researched process and characterization of high-temperature superconductors. She has over 30 publications and is the recipient of several patents. Ruoyi is an editorial board member for two Service Science journals. In 2010 she received the YWCA TWIN Award which recognizes successful women executives for their outstanding achievements.
